Introducing the 2022 Yale Hindi Debate Organizing Committee
As a fourth-year Electrical Engineering and Hindi student, Daniel Bacheschi is the 2021-2022 Yale Hindi Debate President. Having spent time living in Chennai, India, then Jaipur, India, Daniel has developed a strong connection with South Asian culture. He enjoys watching Bollywood films, dancing tango, and reading philosophy.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daevan Mangalmurti is a sophomore majoring in Ethics, Politics and Economics at Yale. He's also pursuing a certificate in Hindi, and is excited to be helping organize the Yale Hindi Debate this year. When he's not trapped in a library, Daevan enjoys hiking, sparring, and a nice cup of tea.
Eesha Bodapati is a first year at Yale College where she plans on majoring in Cognitive Science. Having grown up in Mumbai, India, she is very attached to South Asian culture, particularly through speaking Hindi. She enjoys practicing Bharatanatyam, cooking, and watching movies.
Bilal Moin is a sophomore at Yale College where he studies Economics-Mathematics and Global Affairs. Born and raised in Mumbai, he’s interested in South Asian history and India’s role in the emerging world order. He enjoys amateur numismatics, penning and translating poetry, and espressos.
